May 29, 2020: IJMS Best Student Paper Award 2019 goes to HPI alumni Dr. Johannes Heidemann

Friday, 29. May 2020

The “International Journal of Mass Spectrometry Best Student Paper Awards” were established as a means to stimulate young, promising researchers in the field of mass spectrometry. This year's winners are HPI alumni Dr. Johannes Heidemann and Quentin Duez from the University of Mons (BE).

Dr. Johannes Heidemann is awarded with the “Best fundamental paper award” for his publication „Further insights from structural mass spectrometry into endocytosis adaptor protein assemblies“. In this study adapter proteins in clathrin-mediated endocytosis were investigated via mass spectrometry methods.

Dr. Johannes Heidemann did his PhD in the HPI junior research group "Dynamics of Viral Structures" headed by Dr. Charlotte Uetrecht and has since left HPI.

The “Best applied paper award” goes to Quentin Duez from the University of Mons (BE).

The HPI congratulates both awardees!
