The Board and the Research Teams

 

The board is responsible for the scientific leadership of the LIV and is monitored by the scientific advisory board and the supervisory board.

The LIV’s research teams are currently organized into six research departments, one research unit and three junior research groups. In addition, there are two groups associated with the LIV. The science of the research teams covers the two coordinated program areas Molecular Mechanisms of Viral Pathogenesis and Innovative Antiviral Therapies.

Four technology platforms provide research infrastructure and equipment.

The LIV’s non-scientific units

The LIV’s non-scientific units are located in the administrative department and report directly to the administrative director. The administrative department is divided into the finance and accounting, human resources and purchasing areas. The unit laboratory and sterile equipment as well as the technical services are also part of the administrative department.
