Scientific Advisory Board

The scientific advisory committee offers advice on the institute’s scientific direction and conducts annual external scientific evaluations of the LIV’s scientific quality, structural development and organisation. The committee is made up of eight scientists who are active in research, internationally acclaimed but not employed at the institute. The committee was newly appointed in 2011 and consists of four woman and four men scientists. With two of each coming from abroad, this represents an optimal allocation of male, female, national and international members. Since 2011 the scientific advisory committee assessments have been based on the WGL recommendation ‘Contributions by Scientific Advisory Boards in Assuring Quality’ and follow the corresponding report template.
