Three different series of lectures are held at LIV:

1. the LIV Institute Seminar, which takes place every Tuesday at 9:30 am.
    Here, young scientists of the LIV/CSSB give an insight into their current research work.
    The event is aimed at staff members of the LIV/CSSB.

2. the LIV Lecture, which takes place once a month on a Thursday.
    Here external scientists give an insight into their research work.
    The event is aimed at employees of LIV and CSSB as well as interested students and
    scientists.

3. the Honorary Lecture, which takes place once a year.
    Renowned external scientists give an insight into their research work and are honored by the
    LIV fortheir special achievements. are awarded the Leibniz Virology Prize by the LIV for their
    special achievements. The event is aimed at all employees of the LIV and the CSSB as well as
    interested students and scientists.
