Symposium: Transgender and health in science and practice

Event of the UKE with LIV participation


The event will be held in german language.

A symposium on "Transgender and Health in Science and Practice" will take place on April 24 from 4 to 7 p.m. in the Ian K. Karan Lecture Hall on the Teaching Campus (N55). Prof. Dr. Marcus Altfeld, Institute of Immunology of the UKE and Leibniz Institute of Virology, and Prof. Dr. Christoph Schramm, I. Medical Clinic and Polyclinic of the UKE and Martin Zeitz Center for Rare Diseases, will open the event. Dean Prof. Dr. Blanche Schwappach-Pignataro will give a welcoming address. Lectures are planned on topics including "Current developments in diagnostics and treatment", "Endocrinological care between the everyday and the exceptional" and "Immunology from a gender perspective".
