"dynaMENT: Mentoring for Women in Natural Sciences" receives equal opportunity prize
The dynaMENT mentoring program is aimed at female members of participating research organizations and institutions. It is specifically designed to support and promote talented women in the fields of science and research. Participants should be working at the Clusters of Excellence "Quantum Universe" and "CUI: Advanced Imaging of Matter", the Max Planck Institute for Structure and Dynamics of Matter, the European XFEL, the Leibniz Institute of Virology, the University Medical Center Hamburg-Eppendorf or the Bernhard Nocht Institute for Tropical Medicine.
The program offers these female researchers not only mentoring, but also access to workshops, coaching sessions, and networking events to advance their careers and fully realize their potential. It aims to strengthen the presence of women in research and create an inclusive environment in which they can succeed in their careers.
The award of the Universität Hamburg's Equal Opportunity Prize 2023 recognizes the dynaMENT team's commitment to supporting participants in their scientific careers and providing them with the tools and strategies to successfully meet the challenges in the science system. The prize money of 10,000 euros will enable the program to be further developed and new innovative approaches to promoting equality and diversity in the natural sciences to be implemented.
