Insights into career paths from academia into industry

What career opportunities exist after a PhD or postdoctoral period at the HPI? At the fourth HPI Career Day on September 9 and 10, 2021, young scientists were able to get an idea of what career paths are possible after their time at the HPI. The event took place for the first time as a digital format.

During the two days, career opportunities beyond academia were highlighted, with a special focus on the transition from academia into industry. The speakers reported on their different career paths. Among others, employees of the well-known companies Eppendorf AG, Novartis, Johnson & Johnson and BioNTech were represented.

A number of HPI alumni such as Dr. Tim Schommartz (Eppendorf AG), Dr. Emma Kraus (Novartis), Dr. Sarah Müncheberg (Eura AG) and Dr. Van Nguyen Dinh (Vironova AG) were also part of the program.

The HPI Career is held every two years and is organized by HPI's PhD students and postdocs.
