Honoring 14 years as Scientific Director

Prof. Thomas Dobner handed over his position as Scientific Director of the LIV to Prof. Marcus Altfeld at the beginning of June after more than 14 years of dedicated and successful work. This special moment was officially celebrated and honored on July 8, 2024.

Deputy Scientific Director Prof. Wolfram Brune, new Scientific Director Prof. Marcus Altfeld and Administrative Director Dagmar Schröder-Huse highlighted Prof. Thomas Dobner's outstanding achievements during his time in office and thanked him for his many years of valuable work. Prof. Thomas Dobner also looked back on his time at the institute and expressed his gratitude for the joint work and support.

The event was a memorable and festive conclusion, celebrating not only the successes of the last 14 years, but also the institute's departure into a new future.
