State Research Funding 2020 (Landesforschungsförderung 2020)

In applying for State Research Funding 2020 (Landesforschungsförderung 2020), the HPI is involved as a consortium partner in seven of the 22 projects funded at Hamburg's universities and research institutions. Katharina Fegebank, Senator for Science, Research and Equal Opportunities and Second Mayor of the Free and Hanseatic City of Hamburg, presented the award winners at the State Press Conference in Hamburg City Hall on January 28, 2020.

The HPI is involved in the following projects as cooperation partner:

 

Schwangerschaft, Immunität, und Gesundheitsrisiken bei Mutter und Kind, Speaker Prof. Dr. Petra Arck, UKE.

Mechanismen der Zellkommunikation während einer Infektion, Speaker Prof. Dr. Maura Dandri, UKE.

Zelluläre Mechanismen von Infektionen – ZeMeln, Speaker Prof. Dr. Tim Gilberger, CSSB & BNITM. 

Interaktionen zwischen Stoffwechsel und Entzündungsprozessen: Molekulare und zelluläre Signale in Organen und Organoiden, Speaker: Prof. Dr. Jörg Heeren, UKE.

Mechanismen der Erregung und Hemmung im Gehirn, Speaker Prof. Dr. Matthias Kneussel, Institut für Molekulare Neurogenetik, ZMNH.

Liver: Tolerance and Autoimmunity, Speaker Prof. Dr. Christoph Schramm, UKE.  

Infektionskontrolle: Struktur und Dynamik von Infektionsprozessen, Speaker Prof. Dr. Chris Meier, UHH.

 

State research funding  (Landesforschungsförderung) is a funding instrument of the Free and Hanseatic City of Hamburg, which is implemented by the Ministry of Science, Research and Equality (BWFG). It is a supporting funding instrument at Hamburg's state universities and their cooperation partners. The projects that have now been approved are part of the funding measure “Anschubförderung kooperativer Forschungsverbünde und Graduiertenkollegs“. The maximum funding period is three and a half years, the maximum funding amount is up to 1.25 or up to 1.8 million euros, depending on the type of project.
