Symposium of the DFG Africa Project “Metabolic determinants of HIV-1-associated pathogenesis”
From July 19 to 20, 2024, the symposium of the DFG Africa project “Metabolic Determinants of HIV-1 Detection” took place at the LIV. The event, organized by the Department of Virus Immunology, was aimed at (junior) scientists who are researching in the DFG project or on the topic of HIV.
On the first day of the symposium, the latest research results on the topics of “Virology and metabolic dysregulation HIV” and “Metabolic-Immune dysregulation HIV” were presented.
On the second day, the areas of “HIV-exposed children (HEU)”, “NK cell metabolomics”, “Antibodies” and “HEU mortality” were on the agenda. In the afternoon, state-of-the-art technology applications such as metabolomics, cell-based assays and flow and functional analyses were presented.
Further information on the project “Metabolic determinants of HIV-1-associated pathogenesis” is available on the DFG's GEPRIS website.
