Scientific Computing
The Scientific Computing technology platform provides the computational infrastructure, tools, and expertise needed to support data-driven viral research. It serves as the central platform for scientific computing at LIV, including HPC, big data, cloud services, GPU-accelerated workloads, and AI/ML applications. The platform develops and maintains reproducible workflows for the integrated analysis of multi-omics, imaging, structural, and clinical datasets.
Ongoing development of the research data management (RDM) platform and the LIV’s in-house HPC cluster aims to enhance support for large-scale data storage and analysis in line with FAIR principles (Findable, Accessible, Interoperable, and Reusable).
In addition, the platform supports training and education in the responsible use of AI-based methods, including data security, reproducibility, transparency, and AI safety considerations in biomedical research.
